At AEEC, this course includes all the content covered in HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, with additional training focused on common childhood conditions like febrile convulsions, fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, and dehydration.

Due to its industry-specific focus, HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting is approved by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).

It may also contribute to approved first aid, asthma, and anaphylaxis training as required by the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal prerequisites for enrolling in this course. However, participants will be required to perform practical tasks, such as kneeling on the floor to demonstrate resuscitation techniques. Successful completion of these practical components is necessary to meet the course requirements.

Age Requirement
Participants must be at least 14 years old, or turning 14 within the calendar year of the course.

Delivery Method

Our 6.5-hour face-to-face first aid training is delivered entirely in class, where both theoretical knowledge and practical assessments are completed under the guidance of a highly qualified and accredited first aid trainer. You’ll receive full support throughout the course, ensuring you’re confident in your skills.

Before attending, participants are required to complete a mandatory reading of the first aid learner guide. The time required to complete this will vary based on each learner’s knowledge, experience, and skill level.

For those who prefer online learning, we also offer an e-learning option.

Outcomes
